Funny Birthday Video Maker
A birthday roast, rapped on a 1970s TV set. Made from two photos.
Looking for a funny birthday video that isn’t another e-card? LobbyDuo turns two photos into a short birthday roast: the birthday person and a friend rap side by side on a warm 1970s TV set, performing a few lines you record. It takes about five to ten minutes, and you get an MP4 to send as a personalized birthday gift.
A birthday video that is actually funny
Most birthday videos are a card with music. This one puts the birthday person on a 1970s TV set next to a friend, both rapping a roast you wrote, with a straight face and a little drama. The joke works because it is personal: their habits, their age, the thing they will never live down. Keep the TV set for a late-night show feel, or switch to the orange studio, the ballroom or the beach for the same price.
Write a birthday roast that lands
Keep it to two or four lines. Start with their name, roast one habit everyone knows, then end on something kind so it still feels like a gift. Read it out loud a few times before you record. Then record it on your phone, keep it between 2 and 15 seconds, and upload it as MP3 or WAV up to 3 MB. The default track doesn’t mention birthdays, so the roast lives in your recording. Only use audio you have the rights to.
How to make a funny birthday video in three steps
Step one: upload a clear, front-facing photo of the birthday person and one of their co-star, whether that is a friend, a partner or you. Step two: keep the 1970s TV set or pick another stage, upload your roast, and choose vertical 9:16 for TikTok and stories or horizontal 16:9 for a big screen, at 5, 10 or 15 seconds. Step three: confirm the credits and generate, then download the MP4 or send the share link.
Funny birthday video ideas
The friend who is always ten minutes late, rapping an apology they will never mean. A thirtieth birthday announced like breaking news. A team roast for a coworker, two faces at a time. Grandpa and his best friend rapping about bingo night. The roommate who still hasn’t returned your charger. Keep it affectionate: the best roast is the one the birthday person shares themselves.
Send it as a personalized birthday gift
When the video is done, it waits in My videos with a download button and a share link. Send the link at midnight, play it at the party, or post it and tag them. The MP4 has no watermark. One 15-second Standard 2K video costs 50 credits, the $9.99 pack, and a short Lite version costs less. Everyone pictured must be over 18, and you should ask before you use someone’s photo.

Funny Birthday Video Maker FAQ
Is this a birthday e-card?
No. It’s a short video of two people rapping on a stage, made from two photos, that you download as an MP4 or share with a link.
Do I have to write the roast?
Yes. LobbyDuo doesn’t write lyrics. Record two to four lines on your phone and upload them, or use the default rap and put the joke in your caption.
Can I make a funny birthday video for my mom or dad?
Yes, for any adult who is happy to be in it. Everyone pictured must be over 18.
How long should a birthday roast be?
Fifteen seconds is the maximum and usually the sweet spot. Five or ten seconds works for a quick one-liner and costs fewer credits.
Can I watch it before I send it?
Yes. The finished video plays in My videos first, so you can watch it before you download or share it.
How much does one rap duo video cost?
One 15-second video at Standard 2K costs 50 credits — the $9.99 pack. A 5-second cut costs 20 credits and a 10-second cut 35, and the lighter 768p quality costs 10, 15 and 20 for 5, 10 and 15 seconds. Every option is priced by duration and quality, and the pricing table lists the exact credits for each one currently offered.
